Stimuli Analysis

The first stimuli came from a short film by Karl Lagerfeld, full of luxury goods, luxury cars and gorgeous Castles (I think that building should be a castle). At the beginning of the film, two transitions were used to draw my attention to two women, one in a luxury car and the other with a large string of pearls and quarrelling after meeting. Until later, Carl uses black-and-white lens to photograph the feelings between adults. From the beginning to the end, the whole film is full of luxury. The jewelry and high-end dresses everywhere show the abuse of money, which is a big social problem.
The second stimuli is the work of artists from married couples. The wrapped trees are creative works of environmental art, which involve social issues such as environmental protection. The tree is covered with fabric in an ancient traditional way. The fabric used to wrap trees is woven polyester fabric, which is usually used to protect trees from cold damage. In the daytime sun, the branches of the wrapped trees show light and shadow on the translucent fabric. In the wind, the branches and fabric vibrate to form art works. The wrapped trees can also be said to be a kind of decoration, and the trees under the cloth have become a new image. The work easily expresses its structure and artistic features, but also evokes a strong, vague and decorative impression. When the artwork is removed from the fabric, the fabric can be recycled from the material. Therefore, the work is both environmentally friendly and creative.
